Kevin of http://kievaholic.com/ replied and told me that this camera is the Kiev IIA. He also mentioned about how to spot the difference between this and the 4A:
"The Kiev rangefinder cameras went through several model variations which only differ slightly.
What I see is that your camera does not have the black plastic tab on the self timer knob (which Karen Nakamura's camera does have) and so it could not be a 4a.

Also check to see what the top shutter speed is on your camera. If it is 1/1000 then it is a 4a or later. If it is 1/1250 then it is a 2a.

If your camera has a flip out foot on the bottom, that is also another indication of not being a 4a."
He also gave me a link to find out more about Kiev cameras here. http://www.commiecameras.com/sov/35mmrangefindercameras/cameras/kiev/index.htm

Michael of The Kiev Report corrects this to be the Kiev 4A Type 1 camera. Currently researching more information to post here.

Plastic tab on the self timer is no indication that this is not a 4a. There were two models of the 4a--the first had the solid metal self timer (I have two of these) and the second had the plastic insert in the self timer.

My guess is this is simply a first type of the 4a.
